Received a letter saying your plan is ending?

Keep the letter. We can help you understand what it says and what to check next.

First, identify the notice

A routine Annual Notice of Change and a letter saying your plan is leaving your area are different. Look for the plan name, the date the change takes effect, and the instructions in the letter. A plan ending does not, by itself, mean your Medicare eligibility has ended.

Compare the details that matter to you

Before choosing a replacement, review your doctors, prescriptions, pharmacies, and expected costs. Bring the full notice to your conversation so the licensed insurance agent can check the situation and applicable enrollment options.

Questions to ask

  • Is my plan changing, or will it no longer be available?
  • Which dates in this notice apply to me?
  • What coverage options can I consider?
  • How do my doctors and prescriptions fit those options?

Keep your current documents until your next steps and effective dates are confirmed.
