Individual & Family Health Insurance in St. George, UT

Local help when your health coverage changes

Starting a business, changing jobs, or helping your family find coverage? Health Plan Assistants can help you understand your next steps. Meet with our St. George team or speak with us by phone.

Start with what is changing

You work for yourself

Freelancers, entrepreneurs, and independent contractors can explore individual coverage. Bring an estimate of your household income for the coverage year and information about any other coverage offered to you. If income changes during the year, your application may need updating. Read our self-employed guide.

You are between jobs

Start with the date your current insurance ends and the date any new coverage begins. Ask about Marketplace coverage and any employer continuation options available to you. Losing job-based coverage can create an enrollment opportunity outside the regular enrollment season; your dates matter. Read the job-change guide.

You are losing Medicaid

Bring the notice you received, including the coverage end date and reason for the change. A loss of Medicaid or CHIP may provide a Marketplace enrollment opportunity. The next step depends on your notice and household circumstances. Read the coverage-loss guide.

You are retiring before 65—or your spouse is

A household may need different coverage for different people. We can help you organize questions about the bridge to Medicare and coverage for a younger spouse. Read the early-retirement guide.

You are turning 26

Confirm when coverage through your parent’s plan ends. Gather your employer coverage information, expected income, doctors and prescriptions before comparing your next options. Read the turning-26 guide.

Compare more than the monthly premium

Discuss the deductible, costs when you receive care, prescription coverage and provider network. Tell us which St. George doctors, clinics, hospitals and pharmacies matter to you. Participation must be checked for the specific plan; one insurer’s name does not establish that all of its plans cover a provider.

If your family spends time outside Utah, tell us where you need routine care. Bring each family member’s coverage needs into the conversation.
